The pipe bend comprises two outer parts 10, 12 and an intermediate part 11 which is symmetrical about a plane at right angles to its main axis 19. The pipe bend parts 10, 11, 12 have end parts 14, 16 adjoining one another which form an angle of 22.5 degree with a plane at right angles to the main axis 18, 19, 20 of the respective pipe bend part 10, 11, 12, and the pipe bend parts 10, 11, 12 are rotatably interconnected in pairs 10, 11 and 11, 12 for rotation only about axes perpendicular to said end parts 14, 16. The rectilinear main axes 18, 19 and 19, 20 of mutually adjoining pipe bend parts 10, 11 and 11, 12 either intersect one another or are essentially coincident. The end parts are female and male parts 14 and 16 respectively designed as bodies of rotation, with complementary ribs and grooves 22, 24 adapted so as, on mutual engagement, to be capable of attaching the pipe bend parts 10, 11, 12 rotatably to one another, and each such engagement connection 22, 24 comprises an O-ring seal. <IMAGE>
