The installation is for the homogenisation of the sliver or web in a card with a licker-in, a feed roll and a feed table. A measuring component is provided for the drawn-in fibre volume. The component is connected to the drive engine of the feed roll and engages in an opening provided in the feed table. The opening takes the form of a rectangular recess whose long edges run in the direction of the feed table width.
