<p>PURPOSE:To ensure a high-speed generation of the function, by obtaining the desired function value from a small amount of the function value stored and the function value calculated through the function polynomial approximation of a lower order each. CONSTITUTION:For the input signal, the beta is extracted the divider 1 out of theta= alphaN+beta (alpha: constant, N: integer, beta: partial residue of smaller portion than alpha). The partial residue beta is supplied to the function memory device 3 which stores sinalphaN and cosalphaN to N as well as to the arithmetic unit 2 which calculates sinbeta= beta-beta<3>/6+... and cosbeta=1.-beta<3>/2+... each. And the output of the unit 2 is applied to the arithmetic unit 4 which calculates sinalphaNcosbeta+cosalphaNsinbeta. Thus sintheta is obtained at the output 401. As a result, a high-speed generation is possible for the function through a small-capacity memory device.</p> |
