A method of producing thermally and electrically resistant parts from impregnated cordierite ceramics, for example the heads of the cylinders of combustion engines or the insulating parts of electric machines and instruments. First of all, parts are vacuumed, then they are flooded with the impregnation agent and impregnated. Finally they are hardened for 6 to 8 hours.
