METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WETTING POWER-STATION FILTER ASH

To wet filter ashes at power stations, for dust-free carriage, they are fluidised to saturation across the cross-section of the drop tube carrying the ashes. The material is also wholly or partially spun in a twisting motion within the water cone formed by the sprays from the ring jet assembly. The material is then passed through an elastic mixing stage which has a changing dia.. The filter ash material is pref. through at a rate of 200-450 t/hr with fluidising to saturation in a drop tube with a cross section of 0.016-0.046 m2. The water spray is formed by a water pressure of 300-400 kPa. The fluidised filter ash flow is used to drive a scraper.
