PURPOSE:To measure each sebum component by putting a plate into contact with a skin, measuring the infrared spectrum of collected sebum by the use of an infrared spectrum measurement device and performing the operation based on a multivariate analysis method in a central processing device from a quantity detection data stored in an infrared spectrum and a data base. CONSTITUTION:In order to measure sebum by the use of a sebum component measurement device, at first a plate 1 is put into contact with the surface of a skin to collect the sebum, an infrared spectrum is obtained by means of the ATR method and the spectral diffraction measurement of the infrared spectrum is performed by the use of an infrared measurement device 2. Each sebum component can be easily measured in a short time by performing the operation in accordance with the multivariate analysis method in a central processing device 4 from the quantity detection data of each sebum component stored in a measured infrared spectrum and a data base and previously processed by means of the multivariate analysis method. Furthermore measurement values are shown on a display 8 and can be output from an output device 10 at need. |
