Composite stone slab consists of a layer of concrete over which is an upper layer of natural stone, pref. of granite. The coarse aggregate of the concrete layer is formed by angular chips of the same natural stone material as the upper layer. An intermediate layer of bonding material can increase adhesion between layers. ADVANTAGE - Prevents stresses between layers.
