The decorative button has a fastening on its underside for attaching it to a linen-covered button. The fastening is in the form of a forked plate (1) hinged (6) to a mounting- plate (7) which flaps over to fasten onto the worked plate. The forked and mounting plate are made of only slightly elastic, coloured or coated plastics. The forked plate has a peripheral arm (4) with an outer flanged top (5). The mounting plate has a peripheral rim (8) pointing towards the forked plate when flapped together, and with inner flange (9). The mounting plate has at least one hole (10) through it. USE/ADVANTAGE - The decorative button is firmly attached to its base which are both made of cheaply produced plastics.
