The safety ski binding has a first and a second jaw for holding a ski boot on a ski. The first jaw has a contactor which is actuated when predetermined forces are reached, which forces are transmitted from the ski boot to the first jaw in at least two planes located perpendicular to one another. To achieve a design which is simple in construction and reliable in function, it is proposed that the first jaw has a sole holder (6) which is supported on the side away from the ski boot on a bolt (13), which is parallel to a transverse axle (5) and is held on the base part (2) fixed to the ski, in such a way that it can swivel away from the ski boot by a small amount from its normal position counter to spring force and that it (6) is displaceable axially by a small amount from its normal position towards both sides counter to spring force on the transverse axle (5). The bolt (13) bears a control lever (21), which actuates the contactor and for which three carriers are provided so that the control lever (21) can follow both an axial movement and a rotary movement of the sole holder (6). �<IMAGE>� |
