PURPOSE:To provide a dental filling material composition having high content of inorganic filler, excellent gloss and smoothness of cured product, low water- absorption, high mechanical strength and excellent transparency comparable to natural tooth. CONSTITUTION:The objective dental filling material composition exhibiting the above effects is produced by compounding (A) a polymerizable monomer with (B) >=80wt.% (based on the total filling material composition) of an inorganic filler composed of (B1) 20-80wt.% of spherical inorganic oxide particles having an average particle diameter of 1.0-5.0mum and (B2) 80-20wt.% of spherical inorganic oxide particles having particle diameter of 0.05-1.0mum and containing $5wt.% of spherical inorganic oxide particles having particle diameter of 0.05-0.2mum, thereby filling the small particles for improving the transparency of cured product in the gap between the spherical large particles in high packing efficiency and increasing the filling amount of the inorganic filler. |
