PURPOSE:To improve sponge strength, foamability, and hygienic safety by mixing a specific diorganopolysiloxane with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, a platinum catalyst, an azodicarbonamide foaming agent, and an addition reaction rate regulator. CONSTITUTION:A diorganopolysiloxane (A) having a viscosity at 25 deg.C of 10<6>cSt or higher and represented by the formula (wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, with 0.01-20mol% of the R groups being an alkenyl, and n is 1.98 to 2.02) is mixed with an organohydrogenpolysiloxane (B) in such an amount that its SiH group content is 0.5-3mol per mol of the alkenyl group of component (A), 0.1-1,000ppm (in terms of Pt) platinum catalyst (C) based on component (A), 1-10 pts. azodicarbonamide foaming agent (D), 0.001-0.05 pts. addition reaction rate regulator (E) having a mol.wt. of 50-1,000, and 10-70 pts. finely powdered silica filler (F) having a specific surface area of 100-400m<2>/g or more, the amounts of components (D) to (F) each being per 100 pts. component (A). |
