PURPOSE:To realize production of take-up rolls with uniform quality by providing a paper take-up drum, a drive motor therefor, a thyristor controller, and a tension operating unit. CONSTITUTION:The controller for paper making machine comprises a rated torque setter 28 for a motor 24, a rated current setter 29 for the motor 24, a mechanical loss setter 30 for a take-up drum 23, and a tension setter 31 for a paper 22. A current reference operating unit 34 operates a current reference for the motor 24 based on these set values. A tension operating unit 39 operates the tension of the paper 22 based on respective set values and an input current to a thyristor controller 25 extracted through a current transformer 35 and thus operated tension is displayed on a display 40. According to the invention, take-up rolls 21 can be produced with uniform quality. |
