PURPOSE:To obtain a picture data compressor device low in power consumption suitable to high integration. CONSTITUTION:In the quantization estimation circuit of the picture data compressor device of feedforward control, it is constituted so that an overflow detection circuit 12 is provided, and calculation by a quantizer 14 and a data quantity calculation circuit 15 is stopped when the overflow detection circuit 12 detects the overflow of a cumulative addition result. Since the calculation by the corresponding quantizer 14 and data quantity calculation circuit 15 is stopped after the detection of the overflow, the power consumption is reduced. |
