CONSTITUTION:Outout stage transistors Tr1-Tr10 are classified into five sets, for example, of (Tr1, Tr2), (Tr3, Tr4), (Tr5, Tr6), (Tr7, Tr8), (Tr9, Tr10), wherein two transistors in each set are connected in series and five sets of pair transistors are connected in parallel to constitute a drive circuit. Joints of windings A-E are connected to the joints of respective sets of output stage transistors (Tr1, Tr2), (Tr3, Tr4), (Tr5, Tr6), (Tr7, Tr8), (Tr9, Tr10). Total current of exciting phases A-E passing through a sense resistor R1 is then multiplied by the resistance thereof to produce a sense voltage which is then compared with a reference voltage so that the total current passing through the exciting phases A-E will be 4i0 at all times. According to the invention, application range can be widened.
