PURPOSE:To improve conversion efficiency of a solar battery by forming an uneven plane where a non-single crystal semiconductor layer does not abnormally grow on a surface of a metallic substrate. CONSTITUTION:A solar battery 10 comprises a metallic substrate 11, an n-type semiconductor layer 12, an i-type semiconductor layer 13 and a p-type semiconductor layer 14 which are sequentially laminated on a surface of the metallic substrate 11, a transparent electrode (not shown) formed on the p-type semiconductor layer 14 and a collecting electrode (not shown) formed on the transparent electrode. A plurality of trace recesses 15 having a cross section of an arc are formed on an entire surface of the metallic substrate 11, while a tip of a protrusion formed at a border of mutually adjacent trace recesses 15 is a curved face. |
