PURPOSE:To surely and immediately warn that the user of a copying machine has left an original on an original platen. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of an original detecting means 6 for detecting the presence or absence of the original on the original platen, a charging means 1 for imposing a charge for using the copying machine 5 after finishing copying, a control means 9 which examines the presence or absence of the original on the original platen based on the detection output of the means 6 at the time of finishing charging processing by the means 1 and issues a warning signal when the original is present, and a warning means 4 which issues the warning that the original is left according to the warning signal issued by the control means 9.
