PURPOSE:To play an automatic accompaniment with variation by making the accompaniment different according to the pitch pattern of the constituent sounds of a chord generated by keying. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with an accompaniment pattern memory 16 stored with accompaniment patterns, a chord deciding means which decides the chord constituted with plural keys of a keyboard device 22, and an interval deciding means which finds the interval between pitches of the respective constituent sounds of the chord; and the correspondence relation to the interval between the pitches of the constituent sounds of the accompaniment pattern stored in the accompaniment pattern memory 16 is found by using a pitch substitution table by according to the interval found by the interval deciding means and a sound is generated at the sound generation timing of the accompaniment pattern in the accompaniment pattern memory 16 at the pitches of the respective constituent sounds of the chord obtained by the keying of the keyboard device 22. |
