PURPOSE:To stabilize a temperature distribution in a cold storage chamber by providing a forward passage for raising chilled gas and a return passage for lowering the gas in a chilled gas supply duct of the chamber, and opening chilled gas blow-off holes only at the return passage. CONSTITUTION:A chilled gas supply duct 8 is provided at the rear of a cold storage chamber 2, and the quantity of chilled gas to be introduced to the duct 8 is regulated by a damper 9 for controlling the chamber in the lower part of the duct 8. The duct 8 has a forward passage 8b for raising the introduced gas and a return passage 8c for inverting and lowering the raised gas, and a plurality of blow-off holes 8a are provided at the surface of the passage 8c inwardly opposed to the chamber 2. And, the gas lowered in the duct 8 from the holes 8a is supplied into the chamber 2. Thus, even if the pressure of the gas is insufficient, the lower part of a refrigerator does not become excessively much chilled gas, the upper part does not become excessively little chilled gas and a stable temperature distribution is obtained. |
