PURPOSE:To obtain a water-proofing and moisture-permeable cloth by treating a textile structure with a coating liquid produced by using a resin such as silicone resin in combination with highly water-absorbing resin powder, water and a hydrophobic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A water-proofing textile structure having moisture-permeability and soft feeling can be produced by mixing (A) one or more kinds of resins selected from silicone resin (e.g. a polymer having recurring siloxane bonds as the main chain) and acrylic resin, (B) 10-100wt.% (based on the resin) of powder of a highly water-absorbing resin having particle diameter of about 0.1-5mum (e.g. polymer of fibroin and acrylic acid), (C) water in an amount of from 50wt.% to the saturation amount based on the component B (when the saturation amount is <500 wt.%, the upper limit of water is 500wt.%) and (D) a hydrophobia solvent (e.g. trichloroethylene) and applying the obtained coating liquid to a woven or knit fabric made of synthetic fibers, natural fibers or regenerated fibers, etc. |
