<p>PURPOSE:To increase the time for reaction of the NOx in a combustion gas and ammonia diluting water and to drastically decrease the NOx in the combustion gas by providing a nozzle in a rear smoke box where the combustion gas flows in such a manner that the ammonia diluting water can be sprayed against the flow of the combustion gas. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 11 of a pressure spraying type is provided in the lower part of the rear smoke box 8 at the point where the temp. of the combustion gas 10 is approximately 900 to 1000 deg.C in such a manner that the ammonia diluting water can be sprayed against the flow of the combustion gas 10. Consequently, the time for reaction of the NOx in the combustion gas 10 with the ammonia diluting water is prolonged and the NOx in the combustion gas is drastically decreased.</p> |
