<p>PURPOSE:To improve rigidity by setting the weight of a shaft in prescribed length conversion representation, rigidity in number-of-vibration representation, and distorsion angle within each specific range, as for a golf club having a golf club shaft made of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic. CONSTITUTION:A golf shaft is constituted of a carbon fiber reinforced plastic inner layer A in which carbon fibers are oriented in an angle range of + or -30 deg.-+ or -80 deg. with respect to the axial direction of a shaft, carbon fiber reinforced plastic layer B in which carbon fibers are similarly oriented in an angle less than + or -15 deg., and a layer formed for meiroforcing each formed on the tip part and grip part of the shaft. The outer layer B is formed to a two-layer structure which consists of an inner layer (a) consisting of high elastic high strength carbon fibers and an outer layer (b) consisting of high strength carbon fibers, and the weight ratio of the inner layer (a) is 15-50wt% of the weight of the whole outer layer B. The weight of the shaft is 63g or less in 45 inch length conversion, and the rigidity is set to 220-240 CPM in number-of-vibration representation, and the distorsion angle of the shaft is set to 3-15 deg.. Further, each of the carbon fiber content in the inner and outer layers A and B of the shaft is set to 73wt% or more.</p> |
