PURPOSE:To prevent the engine stall by providing a means for detecting the variation quantity of the number of engine revolution and a means for prohibiting the creep preventing control when the variation quantity detected by the detecting means is over a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When the shift range of an automatic transmission is set to an advance traveling range and a prescribed condition is satisfied, a neutral state is generated, and creep preventing control is carried out. In particular, a means for detecting the variation quantity of the number of engine revolution and a means for prohibiting the creep preventing control according to the detected variation quantity are provided. Accordingly, when the variation quantity of the engine revolution is over a prescribed value, the transfer to creep preventing control is prohibited. Further, creep preventing control is prohibited when the variation quantity of the number of engine revolution becomes over a prescribed value during the creep preventing control. Accordingly, engine stall is prevented. |
