PURPOSE:To provide a device wherein even a zirconia type oxygen sensor can be used as the second oxygen sensor necessary for performance of methane low activity. CONSTITUTION:The second zirconia type oxygen sensor 26 is formed of a tubular oxygen detecting element 28 with one end closed, external/internal electrodes 30, 32 provided in this element, lead wires 34, 36 connected to each electrode, metal-made housing member 44 comprising a supporting part for fitting the oxygen detecting element and cooling fins 148 integrally formed with this supporting part, mounting member 52 provided in a peripheral surface of the housing member and a heat insulating material 56 provided between the peripheral surface of the housing member and the mounting member.
