PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive mixing rate of oil in an oil replacing device for a diesel engine and improve the performance of the engine, by providing a detecting means for the quantity of fuel left in a fuel tank and a control means for the mixing of oil to fuel. CONSTITUTION:From an engine 1 oil is partially removed through a solenoid 8a and fed to a fuel tank 11a with surplus fuel from an injection pump 12. In the fuel tank 11a a float switch 22 is provided. Through a solenoid valve 5 new oil is supplied. When the remaining quantity of fuel is decreased to not more than a prescribed quantity, the solenoid valves 5, 8a are closed by the float switch 22 to cease the automatic replacement of oil. In this way, the proportion of the oil mixed to the fuel can be controlled to within a permissible range to improve the performance of the engine under the stable combustion. |
