<p>PURPOSE:To provide a power supply having a surge current limiting circuit which blocks an excessive surge current even when the power supply is turned ON/OFF repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:The power supply comprises a resistor 1 for limiting surge current below a predetermined level, an AC power control element 2 connected in parallel with the surge current limiting resistor 1, a capacitor 4 for smoothing the input voltage, an AC input voltage detecting circuit 5 for detecting the voltage of the capacitor 4, and a circuit 3 receiving a signal from the voltage detecting circuit 5 and controlling the AC power control element 2.</p> |
