A cross-arm for supporting electrical wires from a utility pole comprises a triangular frame, integral left and right horizontal cross arms (18,20) at the base of the frame and an upper support member (26) integrally extending at the apex of the frame, with all parts of insulating material and attachments for securing wires to the support member. There are holes (40,42) along a vertical centreline of the frame for bolting the frame to a pole. the frame and arms pref. comprise an outer poleyster shell, alternating layers of synthetic fabric and polyester resin, an inner core of polyester mixed with particulate material, and a central longitudinal metal reinforcing bar. Alternatively, the core may be of polyurethane foam and the bar a fibreglass rod.
