The bookmark is made from a flat strip (1) of flexible paper or plastics. One end of the strip has a small area (3) coated with adhesive. This adhesive area is bonded to the inside cover of the book to which the bookmark is attached. The non-adhesive part of the strip can be folded inwards and inserted between the pages in the place which it is wished to mark. A multiple bookmark may be made from a wider strip divided by longitudinal cuts which extend from the free end to the edge of the adhesive coated area. After attaching the bookmark to the book cover each strip can be inserted in a different place in the book. USE/ADVANTAGE - Bookmark which is permanently attached to the book.
