To break up solid ground with a water content equal to or more than 0, by jet sprays of additional material contg. cement, the water content of the additional material is set according to the ground consistency so that the ground at least reaches its yield point. Pref. the water content of the additional material is set so that the ground water content exceeds the yield point by up to 15%. With solid ground, the additional material is wholly dry when blown in and/or mixed and, with shifting ground, the water content of the additional material is set for the ground so that at least it matches the pore vol. and then exceeds the original pore vol. by up to 15%. Or the water content of the additional material is a max. 15% of the pore vol. for water-saturated ground below the water table. The additional material is delivered as a high pressure cutting jet stream of water and a cement suspension or dry cement in sepd. deliveries. The dry cement is carried by compressed air. The fluid injection and/or the dry jet blowing is combined with mixing through mixing tools. The injection and/or blowing action is at the radial outer points of a rotating mixer. ADVANTAGE - The technique can be used for solid and shifting ground, without excessive foaming which could damage the environment and require disposal. The system also prevents loss of bonding material.
