PURPOSE:To enable to extremely easily adjust the gap between a printing head and a platen, by providing left and right symmetric cams fixed at both ends of a carrier shaft. CONSTITUTION:The gap G between a platen 3 and a printing head 1 is adjsuted by engaging an embossed projection 14 of a lever 11 into either one of recessed parts 26 by operating the lever 11. Namely, the carrier shaft 4 is energized to the side of the platen 3 by a coil spring 24 together with a carrier 2, and is pressed against sector form projected pieces 10 of the cams 9, so that the spacing between the carrier shaft 4 and the platen 3, namely, the gap G is determined by rotating the cams 9 as one body with the carrier shaft 4 by the lever 11. When an error is generated in the parallelism of the shaft 4 and the platen 3, the error is corrected by individually rotating left and right eccentric rollers 18 by required amounts. Zero adjustment of the gap G can be performed by rotating the rollers 18 by the same angle after adjusting the parallelism. |
