PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an optical system for raster scanning by fitting mirrors, which are mounted in a polygonal shape on the outer peripheral part of a rotary disk, at an angle to the axis of rotation of the rotary disk respectively. CONSTITUTION:Many mirrors 2a, 2b, 2c... are fixed in the polygonal shape to the outer periphery of the rotary disk 1. Those mirrors 2a, 2b, 2c... are fitted slantingly at the angle theta to the axis of rotation of the rotary disk 1 and also have relatively different angles theta1, theta2, aq3.... Further, the angles thetaof the mirrors 2a, 2b, 2c,... to the axis 3 of rotation is so set according to the result of optical calculation so that a beam can be deflected corresponding to a raster scan by a polygon mirror 4. Therefore, a raster scan directly on a screen and a mask with the laser light can be made by one polygon mirror. |
