PURPOSE:To suppress vibration of a vehicle to increase riding comfortableness by making a damping force on the extension side weaker and that on the retraction side stronger for a wheel which is forced to be raised due to acceleration and making it reversely for a wheel which is forced to be lowered due to acceleration. CONSTITUTION:Shock absorbers 10FL, 10FR, 10RL, and 10RR are formed with a cylinder 105 connected to a wheel and a piston 106 which divides the cylinder into upper and lower oil chambers 107 and 108, provided with passages 111 and 112 through the oil chambers, and fixed to a vehicle body. Also signals from a vertical acceleration sensor 101, a longitudinal direction acceleration sensor 11, and a lateral direction acceleration sensor 12 on each wheel are input into a control means 13, and output to a variable orifice 103 through wheel distribution means 134 and 135 and a drive means 143, to set a damping force of a shock absorber 10 stronger on the extension side and weaker on the retraction side for a wheel which is forced to be raised due to acceleration and to set it reversely for a wheel which is forced to be lowered due to acceleration. Thus vibration of a vehicle can be suppressed to improve riding comfortableness. |
