The device for plasticisation of macromolecular materials, by controlled shear, is intended for machines for injecting plastics, the injection unit of which is provided with a rotor (1) and an annular piston (9). This device is constituted by a controlled-shear slot (e) between the conical end (5) of the rotor (1) and the conical inlet (C) of the injection cylinder (D) of the barrel (shell, sheath) (2). The thickness of this slot (e) may be adjusted by the mutual positioning of the rotor (1) and the barrel (2). <IMAGE>
