PURPOSE: To prevent a used staple cartridge from being shot again by a method wherein a stapler is arranged on a cartridge, is engaged with the top surface of a cutting means, and suppresses a plate spring, and the cutting means is moved from a first position to a second position in a manner to be arranged on the same straight line with a slot. CONSTITUTION: An across member 66 which is located at a rear part of a staple cartridge 60 of a stapler 20, is arranged on the top of a cartridge engaging means 47 of a shooting means 40. At a first position, a plate spring 57 pushes up a knife blade assembly 44 to a lid-form part 70. The knife blade assembly 44 is arranged at a second position, and a backward force is applied to the top of the cartridge engaging means 47, and the knife blade assembly 44 is moved forward by pushing a shooting knob 59, and moved to the direction of the staple cartridge 60. Thus, by closing a path of the shooting of the stapler and/or the path of the knife blade assembly, a used staple cartridge can be prevented from being shot again. |
