PURPOSE:To provide a treated silk fibroin film which is excellent in flexibility, smoothness, and strengths, gives an antibody-immobilizing film which is flexible, handleable with ease, excellent in storage stability, and allows accurate results and a considerable reduction in measurement time to be achieved in the use as an EIA immunosensor since it is washed with water in advance, and gives an enzyme-immobilizing film exhibiting no noticeable degradation in enzyme activity in comparison with an untreated silk fibroin film. CONSTITUTION:A silk fibroin film is dipped in an aq. polyol or polyether soln. and dried. Thus, the treatment is carried out under mild conditions and also this invention provides a useful means as a step in the process for forming or processing the film or as a treatment before storing the sensor or reactor equipped with the film when the use of the sensor or reactor is temporarily stopped. |
