<p>A bracket (14) for a lighting assembly for use with a suspended ceiling arrangement comprises a hooked portion (2) to enable it to be located over and depend from a subgrid (16) of the ceiling arrangement and a plate (1) defining at least one open-ended slot (9). The slot (9) is substantially horizontal in use and a flange (15) of the lighting assembly can be fitted therein. A tag (10) is provided located adjacent the open end of the slot (9) and can be bent from a first position wherein it projects from the plane of the plate (1) into a second position coplanar with the plate (1) to cover the open end of the slot (9) and thereby retain the flange (15) in position in the slot (9). Preferably, the bracket (14) comprises two opposed slots (9) which are aligned on opposite sides of the plate (1). In this way a lighting assembly can be suspended from the bracket (14). The assembly preferably comprises at least one pair of opposed parallel support plates (13), each of which is provided with a flange (15) located respectively in one of the open-ended slots (9) defined by the bracket (14).</p> |
