The pedal bearing and a 4-speed change-speed transmission gear are fitted in the hub of the rigidly directional front wheel. The rear wheel is steered with the aid of a steering bar fitted under the seat. The steering mechanism uses a set of thrust bars or a double control cable. The axle for the pair of pedals is concentric with the fixed axle of the front wheel. The 4- speed gearbox has primary gears (P) on the pedal axle, secondary gear clusters (G) on a fixed cylindrical frame (S) and a rotating hub (R) surrounding the mechanism.
