A mill for grinding soft and medium hard minerals produces ground material with a maximum grain size of 0.8 mm irrespective of the type and condition of the material supplied for grinding. The mill consists of an inner rotor (3) driven by a shaft (4) and an outer rotor (1) driven through a bolted-on pulley (9). The outer rotor has a grid (2) formed around its periphery through which the ground material is ejected. The material is ground by swinging hammers (5) attached to the inner rotor and positioned close to the grid (2). The rotors (2,3) rotate in opposite directions to give a high relative speed between the rotors. USE/ADVANTAGE - Grinding of soft to hard minerals. The grain size of the mill output is not affected by the conditions of the input material.
