The method and the device find application in furniture and woodworking plants. With the method, the output is improved and the consumption of energy for the fluidisation is reduced, whereas the device is simplified. Using the method, fine wood waste is uniformly fed over the bottom of a combustion chamber, while an air stream is fed to the fuel along three inclined walls, meeting the layer of fuel at speed, securing the direct fluidisation of the wood particles. The device comprises a combustion chamber, at the lower end of which a conveyor worm (8) is connected, whereas the chamber consists of a lower (2) and upper (3) zone. The side and the back walls of the lower zone (2) are inclined and a U-shaped air injection chamber is formed on them. In the upper zone (3) of the combustion chamber, an air distribution chamber with round nozzles is formed.
