PURPOSE:To provide a power source connecting/disconnecting mechanism for an image forming device whose cost is reduced by decreasing the number of electric parts. CONSTITUTION:The power source connecting/disconnecting mechanism is constituted by including a rod 1 which moves up and down by interlocking with the opening and closing action of an opening and closing cover 9, a cam member 5 which is pivotally supported so that it can turn centering around a shaft 5a and simultaneously or almost simultaneously connects/disconnects switches 6 and 7 by its turning, and a shutter member 4 which covers over a hole 5c formed on the cam member 5 by the loading action of the cartridge 30 in the device main body 100. Since a mechanical AND mechanism that both switches 6 and 7 are simultaneously or almost simultaneously turned on only when the cartridge 30 is loaded in the device main body 100 and the cover 9 is closed is constructed, a cartridge sensor switch which is needed in the conventional device becomes needless, the number of the electric parts is reduced and the cost of the device is reduced. |
