PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of an operator of an information processor by providing an arithmetic means which calculates the upper and lower blank spaces of a print form where a document is printed and therefore setting automatically the proper upper and lower blank spaces even if the size of a print area is changed within a single page of the print form. CONSTITUTION:When the number of lines is designated in a single page (S1), the data on the print form size set by the format information of a document data memory are fetched (S2). Then a document print area of a print form is obtained based on the number of lines of a single page and the line feed pitch of the format information (S3). Then a fact whether the print form is set vertically or horizontally (S4). If the print form is vertically set, an area obtained by subtracting the length of the document print area from the length of the vertical size of the form is divided into two parts and the upper and lower blank spaces of the form are decided (S5). If the print form is horizontally set, an area obtained by subtracting the vertical length of the document print area from the length of the horizontal size of the form is divided into two parts and the upper and lower blank spaces are decided (S6). |
