A tyre pressure monitoring system operates in a normal puncture and under-inflation detecting mode and a tyre reflation assisting mode. Switching between the two modes (P1; P2) requires no user intervention, since a detected increase in the volume of air in a tyre indicates that the tyre is being reflated.
