Fitting window guide strip to motor vehicle door - by using power-driven tool to force strip over flange of door

The sliding window of the door of a motor vehicle is guided by a strip of elastomeric or thermoplastic material. The strip is made in two parts (1,2) with an angle joint (3) which corresponds to the shape of the door frame. The strip has a special cross-section with a deep groove (4) which receives the flange (5) of the door frame (6). The guide strip corner (3) is first fitted by hand into the corner of the door frame. Each part of the strip (1,2) is then forced over the flange of the corresponding part of the door frame by a special tool which is driven by an electric or pneumatic motor. USE/ADVANTAGE - Fitting of window guide strips in motor vehicle doors. The operation is made easier by using a power-driven tool.
