A sterilizable, pressure-sensitive adhesive strip having a water-soluble pressure-sensitive, adhesive material and a water-dispersable carrier is characterized in that the pressure-sensitive adhesive material contains the following components: (1) 40 to 65 % by weight of a carboxyl group-containing, acrylate-based polymer; (b) 30 to 55 % by weight of a water-soluble amine; (c) 3 to 11 % by weight of a softening resin; (d) 0.5 to 3 % by weight of a carboxyl group-containing, non acrylate-based polymer; (e) 0.05 to 1.5 % by weight of a cross-linking agent. This pressure-sensitive adhesive strip may be used for temporarily fastening textile flat structures to the human skin or for closing diapers.
