Fish, especially fish-farmed salmon, are fed using feed which is less dense than the water in which the fish are swimming, the feed being introduced into the water below the surface of the water, whereby the introduced feed rises through the water to the water surface after introduction if not consumed immediately by the fish. Apparatus for use in the method can include a feed pipe (4) provided with spaced apart inlet (5) and outlet (6) for the feed and means for forcing the feed through the pipe from the inlet to the outlet. in use the apparatus is positioned with the inlet (5) above the water surface and the outlet (6) below the water surface. <IMAGE> |
