<p>PURPOSE:To prevent sand and mud from being introduced into a biologically treating device. CONSTITUTION:A centrifugal separator 4 is equipped between an intake pit 2 and a biologically treating device 3. Sand and mud contained in raw water are separated by difference of specific gravity and removed in the preceding stage for the case of introducing raw water into the biologically treating device 3. Therefore, raw water is introduced into the device 3 in such a state that sand and mud are not incorporated or made little. Further, even when raw water contains high BOD, BOD is reduced at a some degree in the centrifugal separator 4. Therefore it is prevented that the treating device is charged with high load.</p> |
