<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deposit from being caused by fuel remaining in an injector. CONSTITUTION:When the floor temperature of a catalytic converter rhodium 3 is low, air ducts 14, 16 are communicated with each other by a change-over valve 15 to supply air pressure in a burner 4, and a switching valve 13 is opened to supply fuel to an injector 5, and fuel injected from the injector 5 is ignited and burnt by a spark plug 6. When the catalytic floor temperature becomes high sufficiently, the switching valve 13 is closed and the air duct 16 is communicated with a by-path pipe 18 by the change-over valve 15. It is thus possible to inject residual fuel in the burner fuel pipe 12 on the downstream side of the switching valve 13 and in the injector 5 by air pressure, and fuel hardly remains.</p> |
