PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording medium capable of being especially applied to rolled paper of a ticket or a pass, cards such as a prepaid card and labels such as a POS label satisfying all of characteristics such as chemical resistance, water resistance, heat resistance or abrasion resistance and having storage stability especially excellent in water resistance. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording medium wherein a thermal recording layer based on a leuco dye, a developer allowing the leuco dye to form a color at the time of heating and a binder is provided on a substrate and a protective layer based on a polymer is provided on the thermal recording layer if necessary, the leuco dye and the developer are substantially insoluble in an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and the binder of the thermal recording layer and the polymer of the protective layer is soluble in the aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and at least either one of the thermal recording layer and the protective layer contains an isocyanae or adirizine type curing agent and compounded with an acrylic resin crosslinkable by said curing agent. |
