A method for securing posts and railings to concrete structures has a mounting plate secured to the concrete and provided with a curved support surface onto which is bolted a grip plate with a corresponding curved grip surface. The grip plate is secured by one or two screws secured into a separate grip element on the inside of the curved surface of the mounting plate. This provides a degree of adjustment for the grip plate. The outer surface of the grip plate has fittings for securing the upright posts and the railings.
