PURPOSE:To obviate a test printing for print confirmation by preparing data for display and indicating it on a display device, based on data for print image in memory which stores minimum one page of data for printing. CONSTITUTION:A printing device 1 consists of CPU 2 for controlling the device 1, ROM 3 which stores data, RAM 4 which develops image data for printing, I/F 5 which receives print data from a host computer, a mechanical controller 7 which prints/data based on image data for printing, and a printing mechanism 8. In this case, one page of image data for printing is allowed to be stored by RAM 4, then data for indication on a display is allowed to be prepared by a graphic display controller 10 based on the image data for printing, and to be indicated on a display 11 upon a display drive signal generated. Thus an image for printing is confirmed without actually printing it. |
