The present invention relates to a device for rolling up a slub of long-fibre textile material, such as flax (linen) or hemp so as to form a reel or a ball, including: - a receptacle (4) for the said slub (3), - means (7) for rolling the slub up around a support (11), and - means (5) for guiding the slub, provided between the said receptacle and the said rolling-up means. According to the invention, twisting (torsion) elements (14), conferring a twist on the slub (3) upstream of each of the latter, in the direction of advance of the slub, are provided downstream of at least some of the said guide (5) or rolling-up (7) means. <IMAGE>
